All kinds of coal are ancient plants formed by long-term carbonization in the underground. According to the degree of carbonization, coal is divided into peat, lignite, bituminous coal, the higher the degree of carbonization, the less moisture and volatile components in coal, and the more fixed carbon.

Bituminous coal is the most important type of industrial coal. Bituminous coal is more complete than brown coal, water and volatile matter are further reduced, fixed carbon is increased, and low calorific value is generally 23000-29300kj/kg.

The liquid fuel used in the furnace is mainly heavy oil. Heavy oil is a product of petroleum processing. After the crude oil has been processed and refined with light products such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel, the remaining oil with a larger molecular weight is heavy oil and also a residue. According to the different processing steps of crude oil, the obtained heavy oil also has the points of atmospheric heavy oil, vacuum heavy oil and cracked heavy oil. Heavy oil is mainly hydrocarbons, and there are few magazines. The low calorific value of heavy oil is generally 40000-42000kj/kg.

Natural gas is a combustible gas that is directly extracted from underground. It is a gas fuel with high industrial economic value. His main component is methane, the content is generally 85%-98%, there are a small amount of heavy hydrocarbons and CO and other combustible gases, and the non-combustible components are few, so the calorific value is very high, mostly at 33500-46000kj/m3.
